Shakespeare: The Merry Wives of Windsor The fat knight Falstaff returns! When he arrives in Windsor out-of-pocket, he sets about seducing two well-to-do married women. It’s the perfect hustle. Surely one of them will fall for his *cough* irresistible *cough* charms? But in this neighbourhood, wives talk. And they’re about to play some tricks of their own... Lies! Jealousy! Dirty laundry! The Merry Wives of Windsor is an uproarious tale of mischief and double-dealing where the women get the last laugh. “Revenged I will be, as sure as his guts are made of puddings.” These practical and playful sessions explore Shakespeare’s timeless works. Running the gamut of human experience from tragic to comic, you’ll get to perform speeches and scenes, explore stories and history, and discuss the profound questions posed by a writer who might just be both the greatest and most popular of all time. Sessions are taught by professional actor Charlie Sturgeon, 2018 MA Acting (Classical) graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, leading man of the Australian Shakespeare Company 2013-17 and of course host of our own improv and chatterbox courses.
